When my mum was small she had to have a restricted diet. One of the things my nana used to make her was this cordial.
Although my mum has talked about it for year and years this is the first time that I have ever made it, but it is going to be a certain mainstay in my fridge. The dink is tangy and refreshing, just right for a long summer afternoon in the garden.
You will need:
1 orange
1 lemon
Boiling water
Sugar/Sweetner
Slice the lemon and orange thinly and place in a jug with sugar or sweetner as desired. Fill to the top with boiling water. Leave on a window sill to cool with a tea towel on the top of the jug. (I left mine overnight).
Once cool, enjoy in a tall glass wth ice.

Yum! The only thing that might make it better is a little vodka.
