Evil Plan ™!

Your objective is simple: World Domination

Your motive is a little bit more complex: Money

Stage One

To begin your plan, you must first seduce a superman. This will cause the world to whisper among themselves, overwhelmed by your arrival. Who is this unholy menace? Where did they come from? And why do they look so good in classic black?

Stage Two

Next, you must sabotoge the pyramids of giza. This will all be done from a haunted woods, a mysterious place of unrivaled dark glory. Upon seeing this, the world will gibber like madmen, as countless hordes of the undead hasten to do your every bidding.

Stage Three

Finally, you must send forth your unholy weapon, bringing about the end of all things. Your name shall become synonymous with the spice girls, and no man will ever again dare call you names. Everyone will bow before your mystical abilities, and the world will have no choice but to make you their new god.

go here to generate yours!

No posts for ages and then two come along at once!

I would like to introduce you all to my new little girl…

Poppy

Poppy.

She is a short legged, wire haired Jack Russell Terrier and the sweetest little bundle of fun.

I had a large space left in my heart after my poor little George passed over rainbow bridge.  He had steadily been going downhill for a while now, much to everyone’s confusion.  When the vet did an exploratory operation she found several large tumors in his kidneys, so we had to make an extremely hard decision.

We had no plans for getting another kitty, but had been talking about a pup for a while now.  Then we went into Pet’s at Home on Saturday and lo and behold an advert had just been placed for her that morning.  It was like some kind of fate.

We picked her up about an hour later and have been enjoying each others company ever since.

feel free!

I’ve decided to make a blanket, but am quite happy to turn it into a KAL (Knit A Long) if anyone wants to join me.

Rules are:

1. The KAL will last roughly 25 weeks, meaning that the blanket will be ready in time for Christmas (roughly the 1st or 2nd week in Dec)

2. We will make two blocks a week, one patterned and one plain

3. We should end up with 49 blocks, 25 patterned, 24 plain.  The blanket will be in a square (7 blocks by 7 blocks).

4. I am going to use DK weight yarn (cos I have lots of it ;o)) and my squares will be 10 inches long/wide.  This will give me a blanket that is 70 x 70 inches, so should be plenty big enough for a single bed.  You can use whatever guage/yarn that you wish, DON’T feel obliged to use what I am using.

5. The plan is to do a different block each week, so that new patterns or techniques can be tested or learnt.

6. I am going to try to do a poll so that we can vote for which patterned block we will do the following week.

I am going to include cables, lace, intarsia, fair isle and patterned (basket weave, drop stitch, moss stitch) blocks.  So there should be something there for everyone.

I am hoping to start w/c June 15th – If you want to join me let me know in the comments (Make sure that you leave me an email addy so that I can send you the layout, no information will be published on the blog).
