I have no excuses – I am lazy and have been working on expanding my butt whilst sitting on the couch!

I’m still feeling pretty lazy, so…..I am going to do a picta-post.

So, in no particluar order I spun my first hand spun, plied and set the twist now it is ready for knitting with (I’m thinking of making a cowl), Christine had a birthday so we had an office party, we took Poppy and Nephew to Llangollen (view over river) where I brought him chocolate ice cream, which he managed to wear more of than eat, when blowing up the balloons Poppy had a freak out – also see video below, Pics of alf and millie just prove they are still here, pretty little cat clips that I found (not sure what to do with them yet, but they were too cute to leave behind), Poppy had a bath after Nephew also coated her in chocolate ice cream (she was not pleased), pics of sis and great tanning incident (she went into spray booth and asked for the tan to be ‘noticable’ she was worried about the final colour in the morning), Poppy attacks DH with particulary vicious kisses, Nephew turns into monster, some pendants that I am quite proud of (can be found on artfire site, search for Welshmillie), re-took photos of all of arfire products, some bags that I am thinking of selling (their sizes aren’t perfect, so maybe discounted), Knitting Cluedo is going well there is still time to sign up, I finished this nanner sock but going to have to undo the bind off cos it is too tight (any suggestions?!?)…..and…..phew!

That is it, in a nutshell.

I have started another lot of spinning and started washing a fleece, but that will be another post, maybe on Sunday.

Before I go, I will let you witness the Poppy and the balloon incident – it’s across a couple of vids…

If anyone wants me I’ll be making a butt shaped dent in the sofa…..

Forgot to say that week 7’s pattern is up on the blanket KAL page…..

If you have the password go on over and find it…

Plurker Peril has kindly donated some handspun yarn for the goody box for the Knitting Whodunnit Swap.

I cannot tell you how lovely this is in real life.  The colours are beautiful and it is so soft!

I almost considered it getting ‘lost’ in the post ;o)

Anyway if you would like to win this there is still plenty of time left to join the swap, just go on over to the site and sign up.

Remember to fill in all your details on your profile though – you cannot be a part of  the swap if this is not done!

Happy Knitting

Just a quick post to let you know that I  updated my artfire store yesterday.  There are a couple of new pendants in there for sale.  Hopefully I should be doing a stitch marker update this week too, and maybe even one with some notion/knitting bags in.  We’ll see. 🙂

Also there is still time to sign up for the knitting cluedo swap.  The partners aren’t assigned for another couple of weeks and the swap is 4/5 weeks long, so you have plenty of time to prepare your goodies.

What have I been up to this week you may ask.  Well contain yourselves for the rollercoaster of excitement.  I mean really, sit down and remove any items that could help suicidal tendancies get yourself a stiff drink….

Besides from the normal, sort tidy ebay routine that is pretty much the norm recently I have discovered a new craft.  Origami.

I love it.  How you fold a seemingly innocent piece of paper into any number of things with no glue or tape and it sticks there all by itself.  So inbetween working when I get a spare few minutes I have been crafting these in the office:

An origami Cat

A cat

A mini photo album

A mini photo album which has pictures of all my babies in.  From left to right Daisy, Millie, two of George, Alf and of course Poppy.

A shirt

A shirt It’s meant to be made out of a dollar bill, but I’m in the UK and we don’t have them.

Origami stars  I have been making these for a while  – I love them.  They are so cute and easy to do.  You can make them anywhere.

nanner sockI have been knitting on the blanket KAL (pics to follow) and on my nanner sock too.  It’s progressing nicely now.  Can you see the difference in pattern?  This was how far I was when I discovered the mistake.  The top is much flatter without the knobbly bits on the lower half.  I think the lower half looks like dragon scales.

I think I have about 4 more rows and then I will start the ribbing for the cuff.  Hopefully this should be done today.  I may have an actual finished object next time I post.

DISCLAIMER:  If anyone suffered any adverse reactions from the excitement, such as fainting, heart attack, palpatations or similarly expressed suicidal tendancies using normally harmless objects I will not be held responsible.  You only have to read these posts, I have to live them.  There is no exageration, this is my life.

You see Poppy likes the toys that make the most noise.  She loves this one at the moment, but when she sits still and chews it, it makes no noise, so she has to move it around in the best way she can to get it to make the most noise!

I have an idea, and then this was formed.

Go over and have a look and let me know what you think….
