I have no excuses – I am lazy and have been working on expanding my butt whilst sitting on the couch!

I’m still feeling pretty lazy, so…..I am going to do a picta-post.

So, in no particluar order I spun my first hand spun, plied and set the twist now it is ready for knitting with (I’m thinking of making a cowl), Christine had a birthday so we had an office party, we took Poppy and Nephew to Llangollen (view over river) where I brought him chocolate ice cream, which he managed to wear more of than eat, when blowing up the balloons Poppy had a freak out – also see video below, Pics of alf and millie just prove they are still here, pretty little cat clips that I found (not sure what to do with them yet, but they were too cute to leave behind), Poppy had a bath after Nephew also coated her in chocolate ice cream (she was not pleased), pics of sis and great tanning incident (she went into spray booth and asked for the tan to be ‘noticable’ she was worried about the final colour in the morning), Poppy attacks DH with particulary vicious kisses, Nephew turns into monster, some pendants that I am quite proud of (can be found on artfire site, search for Welshmillie), re-took photos of all of arfire products, some bags that I am thinking of selling (their sizes aren’t perfect, so maybe discounted), Knitting Cluedo is going well there is still time to sign up, I finished this nanner sock but going to have to undo the bind off cos it is too tight (any suggestions?!?)…..and…..phew!

That is it, in a nutshell.

I have started another lot of spinning and started washing a fleece, but that will be another post, maybe on Sunday.

Before I go, I will let you witness the Poppy and the balloon incident – it’s across a couple of vids…

If anyone wants me I’ll be making a butt shaped dent in the sofa…..

You see Poppy likes the toys that make the most noise.  She loves this one at the moment, but when she sits still and chews it, it makes no noise, so she has to move it around in the best way she can to get it to make the most noise!

I thought I would give you an update on Poppy.

She is still an adorable little bundle who likes to get up with her mummy, even when she is really tired.  Sometimes she yawns that hard she makes a little squeak and shakes her head, but if mummy is up then she is missing some valuable time with her.  She likes to sleep in the bedroom and occasionally manages to sneak into the bed under the quilt and curls up by my feet.

She has lots of favourite toys.  When she goes out her bright pink ball is the best because she can see it anywhere it lands.  In the house she likes her teddies best and often carries one around with her when she is following her mummy.

She is very friendly on walks and likes to make friends with all the other dogs.  She has problems with my sisters dogs though.  Mya (an alaskan malamute) tries to treat her like her own pup, but she is a big girl now and doesn’t want to be cleaned.  Molly (a spaniel and collie crosss) and Poppy are a bit short tempered with each other.   They are both pups so each trying to get the top dog spot.  Charlie (a collie and retriever cross) my mums dog acts as security though and keeps everyone in line.

to tell you that I am a bad puppy mummy!

When I got home last night, I went to the side got Poppy’s lead and took her straight out for a ‘W’ (yes she is so brainy that she can understand the W word and spell it too).

I noticed on the walk that she seemed to be making some funny noises – this worried me.  For those of you on Plurk will know that my little darling has been eating a variety of things that puppies don’t normally eat (try illuminous yellow silly putty and a doll basket filled with imitation berries that turned her mouth illuminous pink for about 3 hours).

I returned home with her and couldn’t figure out what was wrong.  She seemed her normal self, so I just put it down to a quirk in her personality.

Until bed time, when I noticed her collar was a little snug, ok so it took a while to get off, alright I thought I was going to have to cut it off it was that tight!

I’m such a bad mummy – I had to add about 3 inches to the length!  She has grown so much and I just didn’t realise.  When we first brought her home the collar was on it’s smallest setting and a little too big for her, now all of a sudden it’s too small!  I gave her lots of fusses and choccy bones to say sorry and she seemed pretty happy afterwards.

So all is well.  Well almost – Poppy has found her growl last night.  So is merrily going around growling at everything, including the cats, who are viewing her with a mixture of annoyance and disdain!

Just to prove she is as cute as ever, I have included some pictures taken moments earlier.
